It's creeping up on us. Almost here. Just a few more days.
The calendar doesn't have to remind us. We can feel it in our bones. In our blood.
In our wombs.
We're mothers whether our children are here or there.
Our children are "there" - in the arms of Love, Light, and Peace. In all of Heaven's glory.
With the angels even.
When we are (at long last) re-united with our sweet children, then every day will be Mother's Day.
And there will be no more tears, only joy!
Now that will be a great day...
Soon and very soon.
Hi Meags, I too loved being a mom. What a wonderful gift. I too agree that Mother's day is overrated, and just another day for retail to make money. It is though, especially difficult that you had to do that on Mother's day. I am so sorry. It does prove however that you are the best kind of mother; it takes a powerful love to have endured this irony, and to ensure her send her off was sacred. I believe she knows.
Mother's Day is everyday for me. I'm so happy to be a mom. The day itself was pretty much overrated for me. The pressure from our society for the Hallmark Mother's Day is not so much my favorite. I just like being a Mom. My body cooperated with God to produce these vessels for the beautiful souls. My breast nourished. My arms protected them. No other task in this life makes me happier than being a mother. Maria died just before Mother's day and I spent Mother's day that year finalizing her funeral the next day.
Thank you Rita, for putting such a beautiful light on it.
